Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Porto

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Porto.

Fresh on the back of their cathartic 2-0 win over Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday, Liverpool switch focus to the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Porto.

The Reds beat the Portuguese giants by that same 2-0 scoreline in the first leg and are well on course for back-to-back semi-final appearances.

With another huge game to come in the Premier League title race next weekend with a trip to Cardiff City, Jurgen Klopp may opt to rotate his side slightly for Tuesday's trip to the Estadio do Dragao.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Klopp's side ahead of the clash in Portugal.

LIVERPOOL'S INJURY LIST

Adam Lallana

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: April 17 (vs. Porto)

Klopp said last week that Lallana was carrying a minor knock but hinted that the playmaker could be back in contention to face Chelsea. That was not the case and he remains doubtful for Tuesday's meeting with Porto.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 17 (vs. Porto)

Oxlade-Chamberlain recently suffered what Klopp described as a 'little setback' in his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury, but the England international is said to be close to being back in contention. The Champions League quarter-finals were previously targeted for his comeback game, though that seems unlikely to be the case.

Jordan Henderson

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 17 (vs. Porto)

Henderson injured his ankle in the second half of the win over Chelsea, shortly after setting up his side's opening goal. Klopp insisted that it "is painful but no problem", suggesting his skipper could make an instant return.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Andrew Robertson sat out the first leg through suspension, but that ban has expired and Klopp now has a full complement of players to choose from.
