Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has hit back at Sergio Ramos's response to criticism of his actions in the Champions League final.
The Real Madrid captain proved a controversial figure as Los Blancos ran out 3-1 winners over the Reds in Kiev.
Ramos's challenge on Mohamed Salah saw the Egypt attacker fall and injure his shoulder, while a collision with Loris Karius was reported to have led to the goalkeeper suffering concussion.
The Spain international appeared exasperated at being labelled the villain and, after suggesting that the incidents were blown out of proportion, added: "The only thing that is missing if for Firmino to say he has a cold because some of my sweat dripped on him."
Firmino struck back on Wednesday, calling the comments "idiotic", and noting that the only thing that Ramos had got correct was the fact that he was a champion.
"I think it's an idiotic thing for him to say," the Brazil international told Marca. "I prefer not to comment, he's right that he's a champion."
Real's victory over Liverpool saw the Spaniards win their third Champions League trophy in a row.
