Report: England's Roy Hodgson to leave Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge out of squad

England boss Roy Hodgson reportedly decides against selecting Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge for next week's Euro 2016 qualifiers.

England manager Roy Hodgson has reportedly opted against including Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in his squad for next week's final two Euro 2016 qualifiers.

The 26-year-old returned to action a fortnight ago after spending five months out of action due to various injuries, including a hip problem that required surgery in the United States.

In just his second game back, Sturridge scored twice to help Liverpool to victory over Aston Villa, but reports have claimed that the striker is unlikely to turn out for England's qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania.

According to The Telegraph, despite Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers making Sturridge available for England selection, Hodgson will leave the forward out due to him not reaching full fitness yet.

It is also believed that the England camp do not want to cause any problems with Liverpool following last September's row when Sturridge suffered a thigh injury in training for the Three Lions.
