Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk could supposedly return to action for the Premier League champions in April.
The former Southampton man has been sidelined with an ACL rupture ever since being on the receiving end of Jordan Pickford's crunching tackle in October's Merseyside derby.
Van Dijk has continued to keep fans posted with videos of his recovery in the gym and with the ball at his feet, but doubts have persisted over his involvement before the end of the season.
However, the Daily Star claims that the centre-back's rapid progress in his recovery means that he is only three months away from a return to the field.
On the other hand, the report adds that there is more concern over Joe Gomez, who is highly unlikely to play again this season and may not be ready for the European Championships either.
With Joel Matip and Fabinho also picking up recent injuries, Liverpool are hoping to bring in a new centre-back before Monday's deadline, with Shkodran Mustafi, Romain Saiss and Issa Diop all being mentioned as potential signings.
