Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has seemingly conceded that Sadio Mane will be forced to miss Wednesday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The seven-goal attacker suffered a muscular problem in last week's win over Tottenham Hotspur, and he was nowhere to be seen for Liverpool's second trip to the capital to face West Ham United at the weekend.
Klopp has affirmed that Mane's injury is "nothing too serious" but it appears that the Senegalese winger will remain among Liverpool's long list of absentees for the visit of the Seagulls.
Asked by reporters at a press conference if his team's injury list has remained the same, Klopp responded: "Yes, it's as it was."
Mane bagged one goal and one assist in the win over Spurs before sustaining his unspecified injury, and he joins the likes of Fabinho, Diogo Jota, Naby Keita, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez on the sidelines.
There was previous optimism over the prospect of Virgil van Dijk playing again this season, but Klopp has now admitted that the chances of the Dutchman coming back before the end of the campaign are highly unlikely.
