Liverpool are handed a boost after Mohamed Salah was able to train with the rest of the first-team squad on Monday, less than 24 hours after sustaining an ankle knock.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has seemingly recovered from an ankle injury sustained against Tottenham Hotspur.

In his second fixture back from suffering an issue in the same area, Salah was forced to be withdrawn during the second half of the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has acknowledged that it is an ongoing problem for the Egypt international, which is likely to lead to his absence versus Arsenal in the EFL Cup this week.

However, there appears to be little danger of the winger not being available for Saturday's top-flight encounter at Aston Villa after he was able to train alongside his teammates on Monday.

The development came on the same day that Salah was named in his national team's squad for their upcoming fixtures in November.
