Liverpool's Martin Skrtel has been stretchered in the early stages of this afternoon's FA Cup quarter-final against Blackburn Rovers with an apparent shoulder injury.
The Slovakian centre-back stayed down after an aerial challenge with Rovers striker Rudy Gestede and appeared to suffer a concussion which caused a lengthy delay right at the start of the match at Anfield.

The incident happened in the third minute and Skrtel was not ready to leave the pitch until the 10-minute mark, but did put both thumbs in the air as he was carried off to signal that he was conscious.
Early indications are that Skrtel has not suffered any broken bones.
