Liverpool defender Daniel Agger 'out for four weeks with calf injury'

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger reportedly tells a Danish newspaper that he will be out of action for one month with a calf injury.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has reportedly revealed that he will be out of action for four weeks with a calf injury.

The 29-year-old has already been ruled out of Sunday's Premier League clash against Stoke City after picking up the injury during the Reds' FA Cup action last weekend.

The centre-back was taken off the pitch at Anfield, leaving Liverpool to see out their 2-0 win over Oldham Athletic with 10 men on Sunday.

According to The Guardian, Agger has told Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten that he will be unavailable for the next four weeks as he tries to overcome the problem.

Reports have claimed that Agger has also reiterated that he does not want to leave the club, despite failing to keep a starting spot in recent games.
