Liverpool reportedly have no plans to bring striker Andy Carroll back to Merseyside from West Ham United, despite facing eight weeks out with a knee injury.

Andy Carroll will reportedly remain at West Ham United instead of returning to parent club Liverpool, despite suffering a knee injury.

The England international is expected to be sidelined for up to eight weeks after picking up the injury during the Hammers' 1-0 defeat to Manchester United last week.

Despite the lengthy layoff, it is understood that there have been no plans to send the former Newcastle United frontman back to Merseyside, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Carroll moved to Upton Park in the summer on a season-long loan and has scored one goal for the former Championship side so far.
