Liverpool defender Joel Matip has insisted that there is still far more to come from his side following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds claimed a credible point from their trip to White Hart Lane, taking the lead through a James Milner penalty in the first half before being pegged back by a Danny Rose strike.
Summer arrival Matip believes that Liverpool can still improve after the international break, however, having seen his side take four points from a possible nine in games against Arsenal, Burnley and Spurs so far.
"It could have been a little bit better, especially today," he told the club's official website. "We were in front for a long time but in the end, we only got one goal. We have to work with this point. Three games, four points. Now we play at home and we want to take three points.
"It was very intense [at Spurs] but it was nice to play 90 minutes. With my injury, the beginning of the season was not so easy for me. But now it's good to play and it will get better.
"Dejan always covered me and gave me help. I also tried to help him. But it was very difficult because it was an intense game. But we can continue and next time maybe we'll win."
Liverpool face champions Leicester City at Anfield when the Premier League gets back under way in two weeks' time - their first home game of the campaign.
