Glen Johnson is hopeful that he can regain a regular starting role at Liverpool after returning to fitness.
The England international spent six weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury, but made his comeback by coming on as a substitute in Liverpool's 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
"You're inside doing the stuff you don't really want to be doing, but I'm through that now and hopefully I can stay out on the pitch much longer," Johnson told the club's official website.
"I just want to take it week by week. I'm back out on the pitch now and I want to stay fit and well and get back into the team and put in some good performances."
Alberto Moreno and Javier Manquillo have been installed in the full-back positions by Reds manager Brendan Rodgers so far this season.
