Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has insisted that his side owe the supporters a win against Fulham at the weekend.
The Merseysiders were comprehensively beaten 3-1 at Anfield by Aston Villa in their last outing and now sit 12th in the table.
The Reds host the Cottagers on Saturday and the Brazilian is adamant that the club need to ensure that the fans go home happy for Christmas.
"We owe our fans a good performance against Fulham and hopefully the three points," Lucas told the club's official website.
"They deserve a good performance and the win because they have seen some difficult moments but they have always been there supporting us.
"It's up to the team now to reward them with a good win."
