Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers praises the persistence of his side following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has praised the persistence of his players following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Luis Suarez scored in the sixth minute of injury time at Anfield to earn the Reds a share of the spoils.

However, the game was overshadowed by an incident midway through the second half which saw Suarez go unpunished for appearing to bite opposition defender Branislav Ivanovic.

"It was a terrific game, and once again the team showed their personality to keep on going until the end," Rodgers told Sky Sports News.

"We kept going, created chances and eventually we made the breakthrough. We score a lot of our goals late on, we talk about keeping going on into injury time."

The draw has seen Liverpool remain in seventh place in the Premier League table.
