Mohamed Salah has leapt to the defence of Liverpool teammate Loris Karius following renewed criticism of the German goalkeeper.
Karius has come under fire for a number of errors in recent months, his mistakes in the Champions League final loss to Real Madrid followed up by a mishap against Tranmere Rovers in pre-season.
During Sunday's International Champions Cup meeting with Borussia Dortmund, Karius mishandled a Christian Pulisic shot into the path of Jacob Bruun Larsen for a tap-in as the Bundesliga side ran out 3-1 winners.
A number of prominent figures within the football world, including legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas, have stuck up for Karius, and his club teammate has also offered his support.
"Stay strong Karius, it has happened to the best of players," Salah wrote on Twitter. "Ignore those who hate."
Manager Jurgen Klopp also defended Karius following the loss to Dortmund in North Carolina, insisting that his compatriot still has a role to play at Anfield.
