New Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri has insisted that he is not fazed by the competition for places at the club.
The Reds' front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino scored 91 goals between them across all competitions last season and are expected to once again be Jurgen Klopp's first-choice trio next term.
However, Shaqiri believes that his versatility can be a valuable asset for the team and talked up the importance of having options to turn to if Plan A is not working.
"It's always difficult, you always have competition everywhere in the world," Shaqiri told Sky Sports News.
"We are a big team, there are big players here and everyone is going to fight for his place, but in the end we have to be successful as a team. And you need every player to be successful in a long season.
"The coach knows my quality and he knows I can play lots of different positions in front so I think that is going to be positive for the team and we can be more variable in the games."
Shaqiri could make his debut for Liverpool during Saturday's International Champions Cup clash with Manchester United.
