Zinedine Zidane: 'Steven Gerrard deserves to win Premier League title'

Zinedine Zidane believes that Steven Gerrard's loyalty to Liverpool means that he deserves to win the Premier League.

Zinedine Zidane has claimed that it would be a "big shame" if Steven Gerrard finished his career without winning the Premier League title.

Liverpool are currently top of the table with four games remaining in the season, and Zidane believes that Gerrard's loyalty to the club means that success this season would be deserved.

"He has had a great career winning many things - but it would be a big shame for him if he was never to win the league with Liverpool," the former Real Madrid midfielder is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

"For everything that he has given - he deserves a league title. He could have played for any team in Europe, but he turned them down. That sort of loyalty should be rewarded with a title."

Liverpool take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday.
