Jurgen Klopp favourite to be next Premier League manager to lose his job

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp becomes the bookmakers' favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked from his job, with Jose Mourinho not far behind.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is now the bookmakers' favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked from his post.

The Premier League champions fell 13 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City on Saturday after losing 3-1 to Leicester City, after which Klopp conceded that his side's title defence is over.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss - who has also been dealing with personal issues recently - has witnessed his side lose their last three Premier League matches, and his future is now being called into question.

Oddschecker reports that Klopp is now 10/11 to lose his job in the Anfield dugout, while Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho sits behind the German on 9/2.

Crystal Palace's Roy Hodgson, West Bromwich Albion's Sam Allardyce and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Nuno Espirito Santo also make up the top five, although Man City boss Pep Guardiola refuted Klopp's claim that Liverpool are out of the title race.

Fourth-placed Liverpool now turn their attention to the Champions League as they face off against RB Leipzig in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Tuesday evening.
