Team News: Liverpool make two changes against Newcastle United

Liverpool recall Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson for their Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Liverpool have made two changes from the side which dismantled West Ham United 4-1 last weekend for this evening's home clash with Newcastle United.

Captain Jordan Henderson has returned to the Reds midfield, with James Milner dropping to the bench.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has also made a change in defence, swapping out Joel Matip for Dejan Lovren, with the former also lining up among the substitutes.

Visitors Newcastle have made three changes from the side which drew 2-2 at Bournemouth last weekend, one of which is the omission of Jonjo Shelvey against his former club due to injury.

Mikel Merino takes his place in midfield, while Jacob Murphy starts instead of the benched Matt Ritchie, and Christian Atsu is preferred to Ayoze Perez.

Liverpool: Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Can, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Firmino, Mane
Subs: Mignolet, Milner, Gomez, Moreno, Lallana, Solanke, Matip

Newcastle United: Dubravka; Yedlin, Lascelles, Lejeune, Dummett; Murphy, Diame, Merino, Kenedy; Atsu; Gayle
Subs: Darlow, Manquillo, Clark, Hayden, Ritchie, Perez, Joselu
