Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has claimed that his Uruguay international teammate Luis Suarez is holding out for a move to Real Madrid.
Suarez agitated for a move away from Liverpool over the summer but was eventually persuaded to stay at Anfield.
Cavani, who himself secured a £55m move to the French capital from Napoli over the summer, said that he is not entirely convinced that the 26-year-old ever wanted to join Arsenal.
"He is the most complete striker in England - and one of the most complete strikers in the world," the Daily Mail quotes the former Napoli man as saying.
"I am sure Liverpool fans are very happy Luis stayed - he will be a big player for them. I think Arsenal was not Luis's dream move, maybe if it had been Real Madrid then it would have been a different outcome.
"Of course, Madrid were concentrating on a different target this summer. It is his dream club - and a club he thinks is worth waiting for."
Suarez scored a brace on his return to Premier League action against Sunderland last weekend.
