Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that players will leave Anfield before next week's transfer deadline as his squad is currently "too big".

The Reds continued their preparations for the 2018-19 campaign with a thumping 5-0 win over Napoli in Dublin on Saturday night.

After the match, Klopp discussed potential departures amid what has been a busy summer, and while the German admitted that he will have to sell players, they will not be available on the cheap.

"We will see what happens. If any player from my team is available, then in every other situation in my life as a manager I would have bought all of them, to be honest. They are all fantastic boys, they are able to play fantastic football," Klopp told reporters.

"In this moment, the squad would be too big, that's true. But it's not that that means for us that we give them for free or something like that, Liverpool is strong enough to keep all these players and then we deal with that. We are not there to make other teams stronger, that's not our job."

Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri have all arrived at Anfield this summer.
