RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate is reportedly one of five defenders being targeted by Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Reds are rumoured to be closing in on a £34.1m deal for the France Under-21s international, despite recently bringing in Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the 21-year-old is not the only player Jurgen Klopp has his eyes on.
It is claimed that Marseille's Duje Caleta-Car, who is three years older than Konate, is also on Liverpool's defensive shortlist should a deal for the latter fall through.
If the Merseyside outfit also fail to bring in Caleta-Car, the report indicates that there are three more players for the club's transfer chiefs to sift through.
One of those other names in the frame is thought to be Lille's Sven Botman, who is also on Tottenham Hotspur's radar.
