Michael Laudrup reveals Joe Allen transfer plans

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup claims that he's prepared to wait until the final day of the transfer window to sort out Joe Allen's future amid links to Liverpool.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has revealed that he will begin talks with midfielder Joe Allen regarding his future in due course.

The 22-year-old, who crashed out of the Olympics with Team GB after they lost on penalties to South Korea in the quarter-finals, has been constantly linked with a summer move to Liverpool.

"Joe Allen showed up today at the training ground. He did not train but I had a small chat with him, but we did not touch the subject right now," ITV Sport quotes Laudrup as saying.

"I did not think it was the proper moment, but we will have to talk about that with the player to see what he wants so we can say something official, otherwise the rumours will go on until August 31, which is not in anyone's interest.

"On Wednesday he will be back in training with the other two guys who have been at the Olympics and then we will have some talks so it does not go on until the last day of the transfer window."

Allen came through the youth ranks at the Liberty Stadium.
