Liverpool have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot ahead of Spanish champions Barcelona.
Rabiot's current deal at the Parc des Princes is due to expire at the end of the season, and the 23-year-old has rejected a number of offers to extend his stay in the French capital.
PSG remain hopeful of convincing Rabiot to change his mind, but Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that Liverpool are now leading the race for his signature.
The report claims that Liverpool have already prepared an offer which they hope will convince the France international to move to Merseyside ahead of Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool could even move for Rabiot in January in order to beat their rivals to the punch, with some reports suggesting that they would be willing to offer Fabinho in return, despite the Brazilian only joining in the summer.
Fabinho has struggled to cement a place in Jurgen Klopp's starting XI since his arrival from Monaco, whereas Rabiot has scored two goals in 15 appearances for PSG this season.
Rabiot could come up against Liverpool later this month when the two clubs face off in the Champions League.
