Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Fluminense striker Evanilson with a view to signing the youngster.
The 20-year-old was the top scorer in Brazil's Under-20 division last season, with his performances attracting the attention of the European champions.
Liverpool are understood to have been keeping tabs on his progress, and Brazilian outlet Netflu reports that they have now made contact with the forward's representatives.
Evanilson's current contract expires in February 2020, and Fluminense could be willing to cash in on him for around £4m rather than losing him for nothing next year.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently hinted that the club would be open to signing an attacking player during the January transfer window if they allow Rhian Brewster to leave on loan.
Brewster has been linked with the likes of Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Swansea City having been limited to only two EFL Cup appearances so far this season.
