Liverpool midfielder James Milner says that he would be open to a move back to Leeds United when his current stint with the Reds finishes.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner has said that he would be open to a move back to Leeds United when his current stint with the Reds finishes.

The 33-year-old's existing deal with Jurgen Klopp's side expires at the end of the season and he is yet to be offered fresh terms, leading him to consider his options.

Speaking to The Sportsman, the former Aston Villa man said: "I'm open to anything.

"I'd be interested in going abroad and experiencing a new league, a new style of football, new lifestyle, too, but that all just depends on where it is and also on my family too.

"At the moment I'm a Champions League winner with Liverpool and this year we're really going for the Premier League, but I don't know what the future will hold.

"It would be amazing to play for Leeds again but no-one from the club has ever contacted me about that."

The former England international scored five goals in 54 games for Leeds between 2002 and 2004 before making the switch to Newcastle United.
