Liverpool will reportedly give manager Brendan Rodgers £60m to spend on new signings as the club prepare for the possibility of Champions League football next season.
The Daily Mail claims that the club's owner John Henry is so pleased with the progress made under the Northern Irishman since his arrival in 2012 that he will also offer Rodgers a new three-year contract if the Reds reach Europe's premier club competition.
Liverpool are believed to be in the market for two central defenders as well as a creative midfielder, a winger and a striker. They have already been linked with moves for Yevhen Konoplyanka of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Benfica's Nicolas Gaitan.
The Anfield outfit currently lie second in the Premier League, seven points off leaders Chelsea.
