Manchester City reportedly enter the race to sign highly-rated Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

Manchester City have reportedly entered the race to sign highly-rated Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

The Spaniard has been widely linked with a move away from Italy in recent weeks, with Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid all rumoured to be interested in the midfielder.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Pep Guardiola's side are considering replacements for the veteran David Silva and have identified Ruiz as a potential signing.

However, the report also claims that Napoli will not allow the 23-year-old to leave easily, and the Italian side have allegedly put a €100m (£92m) price tag on the midfielder.

Ruiz has registered two goals and two assists in Serie A this season.
