The agent of Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has reportedly jetted into the UK to discuss a new contract for the Egypt international.
The red-hot 29-year-old produced another sublime solo effort in Liverpool's 5-0 thrashing of Watford on Saturday, which saw him score for the eighth game in a row across all tournaments.
However, Salah's future with the Anfield giants remains uncertain, with his existing deal due to expire in the summer of 2023.
According to The Mirror, Salah's agent Ramy Abbas touched down in England over the weekend ahead of the latest round of contract talks, but the two parties remain far apart when it comes to salary demands.
The report adds that Abbas wants the Reds to break the bank with a £500k-per-week contract on Merseyside, but Liverpool are reluctant to hand Salah such a lucrative deal.
The ex-Chelsea man has 10 goals and four assists to his name from 10 games in all competitions this season and has won the Premier League and Champions League during his time at Anfield.
