Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has refused to provide an update on the club's reported pursuit of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.
The Belgian international is believed to be booked in to undergo a medical today after Liverpool triggered a £32.5m release clause last week.
However, when asked about Benteke's potential Anfield arrival, Rodgers said in a press conference: "I don't know what you're talking about. No really, I don't know what you're talking about."
Rodgers was speaking after Liverpool sealed a 2-0 win over Adelaide United in their pre-season friendly in Australia.
