Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has claimed that Bafetimbi Gomis is holding out for a dream move to the Bundesliga.
The 28-year-old is being shipped out of the Stade de Gerland this summer and, speaking after last night's 3-1 win at Sochaux, Aulas urged the striker to make a decision on his future.
"The Bafetimbi situation is still complex," he told reporters. "There are currently no offers that match what he wants. He wants to play in Germany.
"If you look at the interest of both parties, it is that Bafetimbi comes back in the team and helps us in our hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
"We need to know quickly what he will do. The situation has been sufficiently described and discussed. For now, the players on the field are getting the job done."
Newcastle United had a bid of £8.6m accepted but the move has since broken down.
