Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Brentford.

Three for three in Premier League matches so far this season, Manchester City endeavour to prolong their perfect start when Brentford visit the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's men went into the international break sitting pretty at the top of the standings, having seen off Chelsea, Ipswich Town and most recently West Ham United in their first trio of matches in 2024-25.

The Citizens are only above Liverpool on goals scored, though, while Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and upcoming opponents Brentford are all within touching distance.

Nathan Ake was stretchered off with a muscle injury while playing for the Netherlands against Germany, and Guardiola has revealed that the Dutchman will be out until after the next international break.

City's only long-term absentee, young attacker Oscar Bobb is on the mend from a debilitating leg break and is not expected to be back in action before December at the earliest.

Phil Foden has been laid low by a nasty stomach bug over the past couple of weeks and was forced to withdraw from the England squad as a result, but City staff are reportedly optimistic that he will be fine for the weekend.
