The Premier League has today revealed the fixture list for the 2022-23 campaign, which for reigning champions Manchester City begins away at West Ham United.
The Citizens, who will be travelling away from home on the opening day for the sixth consecutive season, will be keen to avoid a second successive defeat in their first game after suffering a 1-0 loss away at Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of last season.
City's first home match at the Etihad Stadium will be against newly-promoted Bournemouth, before finishing the month of August with fixtures against Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.
Pep Guardiola's side will host the first Manchester derby of the 2022-23 campaign in October, with the return fixture to take place at Old Trafford in January.
City will also renew hostilities with perennial title rivals Liverpool at Anfield in October, before playing the reverse fixture at the Etihad in April.
The Citizens' final home game of the season will be against Chelsea, before finishing the campaign away at Brentford in May.
