Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that the weekend's clash against Southampton will come too soon for the injured David Silva, but that the player should appear in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
The Chilean did confirm that Vincent Kompany was fit to play against Southampton but might not play against both the Saints and Bayern.
"Maybe on Monday he will be ready," Sky Sports News quotes Pellegrini as saying. "We'll see the way he works on Saturday and on Sunday, and I will then decide next week.
"Vincent is okay. We will see if he can play two matches in less than three days, but he is okay. It is not an easy decision, but I think he finished the last game without any problem.
"We will wait a few hours more to see that he has made the perfect recovery and I will decide. But I don't think it is a great risk for him to play another game."
City are currently third in the Premier League, six points behind leaders Arsenal.
