Manchester City are said to be unwilling to sell midfielder David Silva for less than £80m.
The 26-year-old Spain international, who moved to the Etihad Stadium from Valencia for a transfer fee of £26m in 2010, has reportedly attracted the attention of Real Madrid this summer.
Madrid broke the world transfer record when they signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in 2009 and City will demand that the La Liga champions match that figure if they make an enquiry about Silva this summer, according to The Mirror.
Silva has scored 10 Premier League goals in 71 appearances during his time in England.
