Manchester City forward Ferran Torres is reportedly set to have his medical with Barcelona on Thursday ahead of a proposed €55m (£47.6m) transfer in January.
The Citizens are believed to have reached an agreement with the Catalan giants to sell the 21-year-old for an initial €55m (£47.6m) with a further €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barca and Torres's agent are arranging the player's arrival in Catalonia within the next 24 hours, before he undergoes the first part of his medical and signs his contract.
The report adds that both Barcelona and Man City are working on an official statement to be released by both clubs to announce the transfer.
Torres, who is believed to be Xavi's number one target ahead of the January transfer window, is expected to sign a five-year deal with the La Liga outfit.
The versatile forward has scored three goals and provided one assist in seven appearances for Pep Guardiola's side this season, before fracturing his foot while on international duty with Spain in October.
