Manchester City have expressed an interest in moving for Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson, according to a report.
The 24-year-old was ever-present for Boro last season, starting all 38 of their Premier League games and helping them claim 11 clean sheets.
However, he was unable to prevent an immediate return to the Championship, from which they were promoted in 2016, and is reportedly eager to remain in the top flight.
According to the Daily Mail, Gibson has been on Pep Guardiola's radar for several months, although the Man City hierarchy have been considering other, more experienced options.
Gibson has reportedly been a transfer target for numerous top-flight clubs, with West Bromwich Albion said to have made several bids to the Teessiders for their key asset.
