Report: Barcelona join Leroy Sane race

A report claims that Spanish champions Barcelona want to sign Schalke 04's 19-year-old attacker Leroy Sane next summer.

Barcelona have reportedly joined Manchester City in the race to sign Schalke 04's in-demand teenager Leroy Sane.

The 19-year-old only signed a new four-year deal with his current club in the summer, but that has not stopped a whole host of clubs being linked with a move.

At the end of last month, Schalke's general manager Horst Heldt insisted that the attacker would not be leaving in January, but it is widely thought that offers will arrive at the end of the season.

According to Kicker, Barcelona are extremely interested in bringing Sane to the club and will go head to head with Man City next summer.

Schalke are believed to value their young prospect in the region of £37m.
