Defender John Stones is reportedly expected to pen a new long-term contract at Manchester City.
The England international found himself down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium last season, a situation not helped by the summer additions of Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias.
However, in his seven starts in all competitions since the start of September, the only goal conceded came in City's opening Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Having regained his place in the starting lineup, The Telegraph says that the 26-year-old is likely to be rewarded with fresh terms.
The report claims that Stones has managed to 'win over' manager Pep Guardiola, who had previously shown preference to other players.
Stones currently has just over 18 months remaining on his contract.
