Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture against Manchester United.

Arsenal head into their showdown with Manchester United on Saturday evening looking to extend their unbeaten record in the Premier League to seven matches.

The Gunners made it five wins in six fixtures on Tuesday evening by overcoming Southampton, a result which has moved the club back into contention for the European places.

However, Mikel Arteta will have to contend with a number of selection issues in the days before welcoming one of their rivals to the Emirates Stadium.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting in North London.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Other
Possible return date: Unknown

Aubameyang missed the two trips to Southampton due to personal matters, and it remains unclear when the Gabon international will return to the squad.

Dani Ceballos

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Man United)

Ceballos has not featured for Arsenal since the game versus Crystal Palace on January 14, with Arteta revealing that the Spaniard has been dealing with a calf problem. However, providing that he comes through a number of days of training, the midfielder should be in contention for the weekend.

Pablo Mari

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Man United)

Arteta revealed earlier this week that Mari is on course to return to training in the coming days after a calf injury. Nevertheless, the Gunners boss is unlikely to take any risks on the centre-back given the club's upcoming schedule.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Man United)

Like a couple of his teammates, Tierney has been nursing a calf problem which has restricted his availability. While the Scot could be back in contention for the weekend, Arteta may avoid taking any risks on his first-choice left-back.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Man United)

Smith Rowe came through 72 minutes against Southampton on Tuesday evening before being withdrawn due to muscular discomfort. The youngster will be assessed over the coming days to determine whether he is available for selection.

Thomas Partey

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Man United)

Partey was another player to feature at St Mary's before being substituted during the latter stages. Arteta revealed after the game that the Ghanaian had been struggling in what was his third appearance in eight days, something which makes him a doubt for Saturday's fixture.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for their next fixture.
