Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Bromwich Albion

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford.

Manchester United will resume their search for a first Premier League home win of the season when they welcome West Bromwich Albion to Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side boast a perfect record of three wins from three away from home so far, but at Old Trafford they have picked up only one point from the 12 on offer in 2020-21.

However, they will be firm favourites to arrest that poor form when they welcome a West Brom side sitting in the relegation zone and still searching for their first win of the season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Brom)

Marcus Rashford was forced to withdraw from the England squad after picking up a shoulder injury against Everton before the international break, but he is expected to be available for selection this weekend.

Harry Maguire

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Brom)

Harry Maguire played the full 90 minutes for England against Iceland on Wednesday but reported a bruised foot after the match, raising a slight question mark over his fitness for this weekend's game.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Brom)

Man United could also be without their other starting centre-back, with Victor Lindelof being taken off in the second half of Sweden's defeat to France on Tuesday. The defender has been struggling with a back injury but played through the pain on international duty and is now a doubt for this weekend's match.

Mason Greenwood

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Bromwich Albion)

Concerns have been raised over Mason Greenwood's off-field attitude during the international break, with the youngster having already missed a number of games this season. Greenwood is expected to be available for this one after sitting out against Everton last time out, but whether he starts is a different matter.

Anthony Martial

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Brom)

Man United's attacking options could be further limited if Anthony Martial is ruled out with the back injury he sustained while on international duty. The Frenchman trained separately from his compatriots after picking up the problem against Portugal, and was an unused substitute against Sweden on Tuesday so will need to be assessed ahead of this match.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: December 12 (vs. Manchester City)

Luke Shaw has been ruled out for at least a month after picking up a hamstring injury against Everton, meaning that he is likely to miss the next six games at a minimum.

Eric Bailly

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Brom)

Eric Bailly has been limited to only 97 minutes of Premier League action this season and has not featured for Manchester United since October 4 after picking up an injury during the last international break. However, he was called up again for Ivory Coast this month, raising hopes that he could be ready for West Brom's visit.

Jesse Lingard

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Brom)

Jesse Lingard was on the verge of being available again after an unspecified injury ahead of the international break and so should be in contention for this weekend's match.

Alex Telles

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Brom)

There has been some confusion over Alex Telles after he was initially said to have tested positive for coronavirus for a second time. However, Brazil subsequently clarified that the full-back has in fact tested negative, paving the way for him to make his Premier League debut this weekend.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Phil Jones is not expected back until December due to a long-term knee problem, although he has been left out of the club's Premier League squad anyway and so is ineligible to feature until January at the earliest.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Manchester United have no players suspended for this match.
