Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is saving Anthony Martial for Sunday's trip to Arsenal, according to a report.

Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly leave Anthony Martial out of the squad for Wednesday's clash with Paris Saint-Germain as he wants the Frenchman to face Arsenal this weekend.

Martial has been on the sidelines since picking up a groin injury in United's 2-0 home defeat to PSG last month.

The Frenchman had been tipped to return for the second leg of the last-16 Champions League tie, but according to The Mirror, Solskjaer is not prepared to risk the forward's fitness ahead of Sunday's trip to Arsenal in the league.

The Red Devils have a huge list of absentees heading into the PSG clash, with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Phil Jones all out.

Martial, who recently signed a new long-term deal at Old Trafford, has scored 11 times in 28 appearances for United during the 2018-19 campaign.

The Red Devils are currently fourth in the Premier League table, one point ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal as the two teams prepare to lock horns at the Emirates Stadium.
