Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic is reportedly unlikely to be declared fit to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is expecting to be without Nemanja Matic for his side's trip to Arsenal this weekend, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is currently undergoing intensive treatment at the club's training ground after leaving the field 54 minutes into the Red Devils' 4-2 win at Watford in midweek.

Matic is said to have a leg muscle problem that may take some time to fully heal, making him a big fitness doubt for Saturday evening's meeting with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

United are due to leave for London on Friday, but the Daily Star suggests that Mourinho is not confident of having the Serbia international as part of his travelling party.

Marouane Fellaini is also unlikely to feature, while Michael Carrick is recovering from a heart problem, so Ander Herrera could be in line for a recall.
