David de Gea has reportedly returned to Spain to support partner Edurne Garcia and is not expected to be back with Manchester United until the end of the month.
The Spain international was not involved in Man United's goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, with Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealing that the goalkeeper was on personal leave.
According to the Daily Mail, De Gea has returned to Spain to support partner Edurne ahead of the birth of their first child, and Solskjaer is happy for the 30-year-old to remain with his family until after the international break at the end of March.
The report claims that Dean Henderson will now be given a run of matches to stake his claim as the club's number one stopper on a long-term basis.
Henderson kept a clean sheet in Wednesday's clash with Palace and has now featured on 14 occasions for the 20-time English champions during the 2020-21 campaign.
The 23-year-old is likely to be between the sticks for Man United's upcoming games with Manchester City, AC Milan, West Ham United and Leicester City.
