Former Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba praises 18-year-old Manchester United winger Amad Diallo following his 97th-minute free kick for the national team.

Former Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has heaped praise on Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo, following his winning free kick for the national team.

Diallo's set-piece effort came in the 97th minute of Ivory Coast's friendly against Burkina Faso on Saturday, and his left-footed strike into the top corner won the game 2-1.

That game was only Diallo's second cap for the senior side and his fellow countryman Drogba has recognised Diallo as one for the future with many more caps and goals to come.

Drogba took to Instagram to praise Diallo, and he wrote: "Remember this kid. First goal with the national team and more to come."

Man United's Bruno Fernandes also admired Diallo's free kick, and the 18-year-old will be hoping to make more appearances alongside the Portuguese international after arriving at Old Trafford in January.

The Red Devils paid up to £35m to bring Diallo to England from Atalanta, but he has only made three Premier League appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
