Marcus Rashford will not be called up to the senior England squad for this month's friendlies against Germany and Holland.
Instead, the striker has been added to the England Under-20 setup for their encounter versus Canada at the Keepmoat Stadium on Easter Sunday.
An injury crisis at Manchester United handed the 18-year-old a chance to shine last month and he responded by scoring four goals in his first two outings, as well as having made six starts in a row for Louis van Gaal's men.
That had resulted in suggestions that he may come into Roy Hodgson's thinking for the two showpiece games against the major European nations.
However, the frontman has instead been picked by Under-20s boss Keith Downing, while his United teammate Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is in the Under-19s.
