Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has challenged Anthony Martial to fight for his future at the club.
United have been regularly linked with attacking reinforcements this season, with the likes of Harry Kane, Antoine Griezmann and Raul Jimenez all allegedly on their radar.
Loanee Odion Ighalo could also make his move to Old Trafford permanent, and Ferdinand has warned that Martial needs to be ready to compete for his starting spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
"At big clubs, you've got to fight. That's it. That's what all it boils down to. Can you fight for your position? That's it," Ferdinand said during an Instagram Live session.
"You've got to accept there's going to be an opportunity for someone else to come in and play. But then your performances have got to outweigh everything. You've got to make sure the manager knows."
Martial has scored 16 goals and created five more in 34 appearances across all competitions this season.
