Mason Greenwood branded Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba "an excellent player" after the Frenchman provided another assist in Sunday's Premier League clash with Southampton.
Pogba came up with four assists in his side's 5-1 win over Leeds United on the opening weekend of the 2021-22 campaign, while the Frenchman set up Greenwood to score in the 1-1 draw with Southampton at St Mary's.
The 28-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, but it appears unlikely that he will be leaving before the end of the summer transfer window.
Greenwood lavished praise on the World Cup winner and said that the Man United players "are glad" to have him.
"Paul Pogba is an excellent player and he helped with the goal, he is a clever player and we are glad to have him here. It is a good squad and excellent for players to be fighting for their place," Greenwood told Sky Sports News.
Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Friday that the club are still working on a potential new contract for Pogba, who will see his current deal at Old Trafford expire next June.
