Boudewijn Zenden: 'English press will love Louis van Gaal'

Boudewijn Zenden believes that the English press will "love" Louis van Gaal should he be appointed as Manchester United's new manager.

Former Dutch international Boudewijn Zenden believes that Louis van Gaal would fit in with the Premier League should he take over at Manchester United.

The Netherlands boss, who will leave his post after the World Cup in Brazil, is a strong favourite to replace David Moyes, who was sacked on Tuesday.

"Van Gaal is quite a character," Zenden told BBC Radio 5 live. "I'm sure if he comes to England that the press will love him. He's very straightforward and he's one of the managers that's worked at the highest level with the biggest players."

Van Gaal has managed Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich throughout his career.
