Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

With any hopes of an outside shot at Premier League glory now in tatters, Manchester United will be playing for pride when Liverpool pay a visit to Old Trafford in Thursday's rearranged fixture.

The Red Devils face the now-dethroned champions a little over 48 hours after defeat to Leicester City handed Pep Guardiola's men the title, with Luke Thomas and Caglar Soyuncu netting either side of Mason Greenwood's equaliser in a 2-1 win for the Foxes.

Man United are now 10 points behind Man City with only three games left to play, but second place is still up for grabs and they remain four points clear of Leicester - who have now played a game more - before Thursday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Harry Maguire

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: May 26 (vs. Villarreal)

Harry Maguire was forced off with an ankle injury in the weekend's win over Aston Villa and was seen on crutches at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. The centre-back is now confirmed to have suffered ligament damage and is facing a race against time to be fit for the Europa League final.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 23 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Anthony Martial continues to make good progress in his recovery from a knee issue and has a chance of returning to action before the campaign concludes, but it will not be against Liverpool.

Daniel James

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: Unknown

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted last week that Daniel James would be out for a "little while" with an unspecified problem, so the Welshman is not expected to be available on Thursday.

Phil Jones

Possible return date: Unknown

Phil Jones is yet to take to the field this season due to a serious knee injury, and the defender may have played his final game for the Red Devils as he continues to be linked with a move away.
