Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has revealed that he wanted his client to join Chelsea last year.
The Juventus midfielder was among the transfer headlines last summer, but ended up staying in Turin.
This year, the 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to former club Manchester United, who offloaded Pogba in a free transfer to Juve four years ago.
A record-breaking £100m deal has been discussed in the gossip pages, but Raiola has claimed that the midfielder does not feel the need to leave the Italian giants.
Pogba's representative also admitted that last year he was keen on the footballer joining Chelsea, whose then-manager Jose Mourinho is now in charge of United.
"Last year, when the bid came in, I really wanted him to go to Chelsea," The Mirror quotes Raiola as saying. "It didn't happen but this year we will see.
"Juve do not want to sell him and there is a chance for us to talk about a new contract. He feels no need to leave, but if you come with a project that will make Paul want to leave, we'll talk with the club."
Pogba has won four Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias with Juve since 2012.
